Kenny Kwan

Biography

Kenny Kwan was born in Zamboanga, Philippines, of Chinese descent from Kaiping, Guangdong. He returned to Hong Kong at the age of five with his family, which includes two older sisters and one younger sister. He studied at SKH Holy Trinity Primary School and Tang King Po School, then went to Canada for half a year in 1997 and studied electronic engineering at the Hong Kong Institute of Technology. He entered the entertainment industry after participating in the RTHK TV drama "Y2K+01", which caught the attention of Emperor Entertainment Group, with whom he signed a contract. In 2003, he formed the duo "Boy'z" with Steven Cheung, achieving major success with their signature song "死性不改" and winning the Best New Group award at the 2003 Hong Kong music awards. Kwan began his solo career in 2005 and has released seven solo albums to date, including "前面是新的岁月记得走下去" in 2021, in which he was deeply involved in production. He also found success as an actor in films such as "古宅心慌慌" and "海关战线", and TV dramas such as "追魚傳奇" and "护心", where he played the character "尘意/长岚". In 2023, he participated in the reality show "披荊斬棘的哥哥" and gained widespread attention, and in 2024 launched a concert tour titled "时光机音乐会" across mainland China.
