简介
Ho Kin Hei, known as SoulJase, is a Chinese singer from Hong Kong born on 25 February 1990. He studied at a Catholic primary school and later at the YMCA Christian Secondary School, graduating in 2012 from the International College of Hong Kong Baptist University in the Department of Culture and General Studies. In 2009, he participated in the singing competition "Star Battle" organized by Kingdom C, reached the final four, and subsequently formed the four-member boy band C AllStar with the other three finalists. He often took lead vocals or high harmonies in the group, performing songs including "韆鞦萬世," "密室," "騷動," "A Hundred Times," and "Pair J." "韆鞦萬世," written during his secondary school years, was the first creative work by any C AllStar member to be included on a major album, appearing on the group's second album "我們的胡士托." His musical compositions are primarily in R&B style. In 2017, as the group was about to go on hiatus, he won a public vote by a single vote over fellow member Chen Jian An to earn a 15-minute solo performance slot at the "Born C AllStar Concert" at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Beyond music, Ho Kin Hei has pursued writing and food criticism, writing restaurant reviews under the pseudonym "Ramen Brother" covering establishments in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, and Japan. In 2018, he released three books at the Hong Kong Book Fair, including two food books and "Self Portrait - Whatever You Say," co-authored with a lyricist and a professional photographer. He also co-produced a food program titled "SOULJASE Ramen Brother · Food Travelogue" with the online platform HK01, and co-founded an online store called "Jud Do Jud Market."
