Kan Chung Siu Hong
Biography
Chung Siu Hong, known in English as Kan Chung Siu Hong, is a former Hong Kong singer and actor born on 22 December 1980. He began his artistic career in 2000 after winning the gold medal in the "EEG New Superstar Contest" organized by Emperor Entertainment Group, which led to a recording contract with the company. He officially debuted as a singer in 2001 with his first single "全因你" (Because of You), and the company invested heavily in promoting him through bus advertisements, followed by the release of the uptempo song "踢走時限" (Kick Away the Time Limit). However, due to lukewarm public response, his singing career was suspended after releasing several singles that same year. He subsequently participated in filming several movies before terminating his contract with EEG and leaving the company in 2003. In 2004, he moved to Taiwan and mainland China, and in 2005 he took part in a Taiwanese TV drama titled "風中戰士" (Warrior of the Wind), in which he performed the solo insert song "Yes I Do". He also participated in some variety shows and commercials in mainland China. His artistic activities diminished thereafter, and in 2010 it was reported on an online forum that he had switched to working in a telecommunications customer service center. In 2012, he confirmed under his real name Chung Di Xuan on his Sina Blog that he had left the entertainment industry and was working as a professional photographer. He has since retired from the entertainment scene.
