BEN_AR: Vin Choi Kay Chun (蔡淇俊) was born in Hong Kong in 1984 into a middle-class family; his father was a cloth merchant and his mother a civil servant. He attended 鴨脷洲街坊學校 and later 新會商會陳白沙紀念中学. In 2001, after graduating, he entered the "至型bug仔" contest organized by TVB Weekly, winning first place among 2,000 contestants thanks to his handsome appearance and 1.83m height, which launched his entertainment career. He joined the 18th TVB acting training course in 2003 but was initially limited to minor roles. A year later, producer 潘嘉德 cast him as a trainee pilot in the drama 《衝上雲霄》 (2003). In 2004, he landed his first leading role in the youth drama 《赤沙印記@四葉草.2》 alongside 司徒瑞祈 and 陳自瑶, earning the nickname "翻版霆鋒," but the breakthrough success did not materialize. He hosted the children's program 《放學ICU》, yet his visibility declined and his career stagnated. From 2007, his fortunes improved when 梅小青, producer of 《突圍行動》, cast him as "昭少." He was then personally chosen by TVB drama deputy director 曾励珍 to star opposite veteran actress 關詠荷 in the 364-episode sitcom 《同事三分親》, playing 金燕玲's grandson in a major role over a year and a half of filming—this was the peak of his popularity. After the series ended, his acting career declined again. In 2014, he shifted to the food business, opening a noodle restaurant in Foshan, Guangdong, with an investment of 500,000 RMB, and terminated his contract with TVB in September; 《飛虎II》 became his final TVB work. By June 2017, he had opened five branches in Foshan and a hotpot restaurant in 禪城區. He also practices karate, holding a yellow belt, and trains alongside 歐錦棠. He signed a petition supporting the Hong Kong national security law. He won the "至型bug仔" contest and the Best Song award at the 2008 Children's Song Awards for "拯救星球."
