Julian Cheung Chi Lam was born in Hong Kong in 1971 and is a Hong Kong singer and actor. He grew up in Hong Kong with family roots in Guangdong. His uncle was a Hong Kong actor, and his mother won the Hong Kong Industrial Fair beauty pageant in 1962. In his youth, he became acquainted with several entertainers through his cousin, including Mui Siu Chung and Anita Mui, and Jacky Chou once said he wanted to take him as a disciple. He migrated with his father to Australia in 1987 and completed high school in Sydney. In 1991, he released a duet album titled "現代愛情故事" with Xu Qiuyi, achieving double platinum sales. In 1992, he began his solo career and won the Best New Male Singer award from a commercial station and the Best New Artist award from a television network. He released several successful albums including "Chilam" and "我也喜歡你," which achieved platinum sales. In 2000, he became famous for his role as "Wen Chu" in the TV drama "十月初五的月光," which became one of his representative works, and the drama's theme song "祝君好" further boosted his fame. He returned to the music scene in 2009 after a hiatus during which he focused on film.
