Biography
Fiona Braidwood, known as Wo Xi Er, is a Hong Kong-Australian model and singer of mixed Chinese and Australian heritage. She was born in Australia on October 22, 1982. She joined the Hong Kong entertainment industry in 1997 as a teenage model. She appeared in commercials and released a solo album. In 1999, she released her song "Hello Kitty Becomes a Friend," with the record company claiming sales of 25,000 copies, though media reported actual sales were only around 1,000 copies. The song faced sharp criticism from audiences and experts, as academic writer Shen Xuhui pointed out that the lyrics contradicted Hello Kitty's character traits, showing a lack of basic knowledge and international perspective in its creation. She later gradually withdrew from the entertainment industry.
