In 1970 she started part-time dubbing work at TVB until she left RTV in 1975 to become a full-time actress and voice artist at TVB. She excelled in works written by screenwriter Kam Kwok-leung, portraying iconic characters such as Mei Kim-sin in "山水有相逢" (1980) and Choi Yau-kam in "執到寶". In the early 1980s, she joined Hong Kong Commercial Radio as a radio host with her distinctive voice and humorous style, notably hosting the morning show "笑口早" where she interviewed stars like Teresa Teng. Wong was among the first female artists to perform stand-up comedy in Hong Kong. She was dubbed "金牌司儀" (Golden MC) for her bold and sarcastic hosting style. She transitioned to cinema in the 1980s and 1990s, delivering notable comedic performances including "十三妹" in "精裝追女仔II" (1988), "川島芳子" in "赌侠2之上海滩赌圣" (1991) with its famous catchphrase, and "豔芬" in "92黑玫瑰對黑玫瑰" (1992).
