Mandy Wong Man-yee is a former Hong Kong actress, born on 16 August 1960. She enrolled in the eighth session of TVB's artist training programme in 1979 and joined TVB after graduation. During her training period, she had a brief relationship with her classmate Ai Wei, but her mother separated them. Mandy Wong is a Cantonese opera enthusiast; she was a disciple of the late Cantonese opera star Fung Wong Nui and the goddaughter of Kwan Tak-hing. She retired from the entertainment industry in the early 1990s to go into business with her husband. In 2010, the Hong Kong Chong Shan West Friendship Association was founded, and Mandy Wong was appointed as its president. She currently serves as a member of the Chongshan Municipal Political Consultative Conference.
