鄧月平

简介

Larine Tang Yue-ping was born in Chongqing, China, as the only daughter in her family with one brother, and later moved to Sham Shui Po and Tai Wai in Hong Kong. Her name originates from her grandmother's belief that her birth chart warned against water and her lifespan would not exceed 14 years, so she chose "Yue Ping" (Peaceful Moon) to symbolize monthly safety; she indeed experienced a serious drowning incident as a child but survived. Her parents divorced in 2011, which strengthened her self-protection instincts, and she began playing street music along Shing Mun River. She learned cooking at age six and developed an interest in psychology after suffering depression at age fourteen, leading her to become a certified hypnotherapist from the American National Hypnotherapist Association at seventeen. She participated in the beauty contest "Mei Xuan D.n.A" organized by ViuTV in 2016 and signed with GME management company. She made her film debut in 2017 with "The Yuppie Fantasia 3" playing Leung Kwun's daughter, earning a nomination for Best New Performer at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards. She released her first solo single "Goddess Sutra." She left GME in 2019 to pursue independent development and founded her own studio "Skyia Entertainment Limited" in November 2020. She began learning martial arts while filming action movies, practicing Wing Chun and Tai Chi, and became a certified taekwondo athlete. In August 2025, she competed in the ITF Asian Taekwondo Championships in Hong Kong, winning first place in the 52-58 kg category despite belonging to the 48 kg category, and represented Hong Kong at the Asian Championships in Malaysia. In October 2025, she won a bronze medal in the women's black belt under 48 kg category at the Putrajaya Taekwon-Do Challenge 2025 in Malaysia.
