简介

Cecilia Tam is a former Hong Kong singer, born on 6 November 1973. She began her artistic career at a very young age, participating in 1987 at only fourteen years old under her original name "Tam Chuk Ming" in the "Future Heroes Competition" organized by Hong Kong's ATV, where she was the youngest contestant of that edition. She qualified for the semi-finals on 26 February at the Elizabeth Stadium, then reached the final twelve and won the "Golden Knife Award" for best female performance singer. In 1990, she received an opportunity to sign with Japanese record company JVC (Victor) to debut as a singer in Japan, changed her name to Cecilia Tam, and released her first Japanese mini-album "Where to Find a Soulmate?" in 1991. In the same year, the company released her first album "Harbour Love Not Ended", which included songs in English, Cantonese, and Japanese, and she conducted promotional tours in both Japan and Hong Kong. In 1992, she released her second album "Finally Found LOVE", whose Cantonese lyrics were written by the famous Hong Kong lyricist James Wong, and she also appeared as a singer on the TVB program "Jade Solid Gold Celebration". The following year, her song "Embrace in the Rain" was re-lyricized as a children's song and broadcast on the children's program "Flash Fax". After that, there were no further artistic activities.
