Renee Tai Meng Meng is a Hong Kong singer and actress, born on 12 December 1984. She was educated at Shin Fa College and St. Francis Canossian College. She entered the entertainment industry in 1990 after winning a young idol contest and began her career as a child actress in several television dramas. She became well known for playing Cai Xiaoshi in the drama The Little Swallow in 1996. In 2001, she started gaining attention through her appearance in the RTHK program Complete Student Handbook and participated in the Chinese New Talent Singing Awards. Her singing career began in 2003, and she won an award for Best Children's Song for The Little Tabby Tiger. She received the Best New Female Artist Hong Kong award in 2004 and the Best Advertisement Song award in 2005. In 2010, she won the Best Duet Song award for Love Beyond Reason with Fan Chun-fung. In 2011, she decided to transition careers and left acting to become an artist manager. On a personal note, she has a close bond with actress Wong Hung as her godmother and Lam Kin-ming as her godfather.
