May Ng Yuen Fong

Biography

May Ng Yuen Fong was born on 20 October 1967 in Hong Kong and grew up in Sau Mau Ping Estate in Kowloon. She graduated from Sau Mau Ping Catholic Primary School and Leung Chi Chee College. After graduating from Caritas English College, she worked as a clerk in a travel agency. In 1986, she participated in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant and won the first runner-up, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Talent awards. She joined TVB as an artist after the pageant, but her television drama appearances were limited, and she was frozen by TVB after declining a role in "誓不低頭". In 1990, she signed with 宝艺星 Records and released her debut album, winning the Best Newcomer award at the 十大劲歌金曲 Awards and 叱咤乐坛流行榜. She is married to businessman Hu Jia Hua and was rumored to have a romantic connection with Leslie Cheung. She is also the sworn sister of Jacky Cheung and served as chairperson of the PTA at 番禺會所華仁小學. She formed a sworn sibling group with seven friends in the entertainment industry in 1986, including Ekin Cheng and Li Ka Sing.
