N.O.A, whose birth name is 阿寶, is a singer-songwriter, music producer, and visual artist based in Hong Kong. She is widely known as the lead vocalist of the Hong Kong rock/metalcore indie band Instinct of Sight, and uses N.O.A (an abbreviation of Nerve On Air) as the identity for her personal music projects. During her secondary school years, N.O.A demonstrated cross-media artistic talent, immersing herself in literature, design, and calligraphy, placing in the top ten of a national writing competition and winning a regional calligraphy championship. She began her music career early as the founding vocalist of the band Eclosion, transforming her complex emotions into original Japanese and English rock songs, and actively participating in inter-school performances, stage plays, and street performances. N.O.A holds dual qualifications from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in the UK and a nutrition degree from the US. After returning to Hong Kong, she briefly worked as a demo singer in the mainstream music scene but faced creative crisis under commercial pressure. In 2012, she chose to retreat to her personal space with only an acoustic guitar, recording over twenty original works that remained unpublished. In 2014, N.O.A began a dual career combining tattooing and music, founding her own studio where she integrated her calligraphy skills into tattoo art, transforming pain into healing and visual aesthetics. That same year, she joined Instinct of Sight and released her first original work titled 《過》. The band actively participated in youth band competitions, achieving top placements, and was selected as a featured emerging band by StreetVoice in 2015, receiving high praise from independent music professionals.
