简介

Singer Jacqueline Man Pui Ling (nicknamed Man Man) was born in Hong Kong in 1964 and grew up in the Oi Man Estate. Her father was a truck driver who later became a full-time Cantonese opera actor, and he instilled in her a love of music from a young age. She participated in the 5th New Talent Singing Awards in 1986 and won the championship and Best Stage Presence Award, defeating singers like Xu Zhian and Lai Ming. After her victory, she signed an 8-year contract with Capital Artists, but her recorded album was never released because the company redirected resources to other artists. She later moved to EMI and released two albums, "Man Pui Ling" and "Dou Qi," in 1989 and 1990. She left the music industry in 1992 and worked as an insurance agent with AIA. She returned to singing in 2013 after being invited to perform at a concert, and appeared on TV programs such as "Sunday靓声王" and "流行經典50年." Among her most famous songs is the duet "愛全為你" with Alex Du and the 1987 TVB drama theme song "錯在情多."
