Luna Is A Bep

简介

Luna Is A Bep is a Hong Kong rapper who debuted in 2018. She began writing her own rhyming verses on Instagram to express her emotions, and after encouragement from friends to create rap music, she adopted the stage name "Luna Is A Bitch" and turned those verses into her first track "Everybody's Sleepy", which she released on YouTube, depicting the exhausted state of Hong Kong people sleeping on public transport. Later, she felt the word "Bitch" was not appropriate and wanted to change her stage name to "Luna Is A Beep", but she accidentally omitted an "e" when typing, resulting in "Luna Is A Bep", a name she has kept ever since. Her early works were primarily in the Lo-fi hip hop style, described by the mysterious music critic Stu Sis as having a voice that is a guarantee of recognizability, with a gentle tone suitable for any subject matter. She later released rap tracks in various styles, including Trap, Boom Bap hip hop, Reggaeton, and Funk, with notable songs such as "麻甩系", "收成期", "我想行開下", "快", and "BoogieBaby". She also appeared on the television programme "Chill Club".
