Sarena Li was a Hong Kong singer and a former member of the group 小龙凤. In 2012, she was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma and underwent four sessions of radiotherapy and over thirty sessions of chemotherapy, which affected her vocal cords and nasal cavity. Despite this, she did not give up her singing career and continued to sing while undergoing treatment, releasing her first song "交换爱情" on 13 September 2017. In 2016, her condition worsened, the tumor enlarged again, and the cancer spread to her lungs. She underwent surgery, followed by nerve inflammation that caused facial paralysis, leaving her with only 30% hearing in her right ear. She later had throat surgery that left her unable to sing. On 4 May 2021, Sarena Li passed away at the age of 31, with her death announced by singer Ma Chun Wai on behalf of her family.
