Biography

Colleen Lau, known artistically as 可嵐, is a Hong Kong singer born on November 5, 1985. She spent her childhood and studied in Hong Kong, then completed her education at Shanghai Nanyang Model School, Ma On Shan St. Joseph's School, and Ma On Shan Tsung Tsin School. She graduated in 2003 from the directing department of the Beijing Film Academy, and in 2007 from the advertising department of Guangzhou Jinan University. She worked in a marketing company before deciding to pursue singing full-time. She participated in a talent competition in 2005, then began her music career in 2008 after signing with an Asian record label. She released her first album 《女生不哭》 in 2008 and won several awards including Best New Female Singer and Best Song at the Cash Pop Song Composition Contest. She married in 2010 and had her first son in 2011, then divorced in 2014 after experiencing domestic violence. She held a concert celebrating ten years of her career in December 2018, and gave birth to her second son in 2022. She participated in 《中年好聲音3》 in 2024 but did not advance, then joined 《中年好聲音4》 in 2025, qualifying among the top 100 contestants in Hong Kong and finishing in twelfth place.
