鍾氏兄弟

简介

The Chung Brothers is a Hong Kong male music duo formed in 2009 by brothers Henry Chung Yee-kwong and Roger Chung Yee-nok. The group is influential in jazz, blues, and gospel music, and is considered a leading representative of "local music" that emerged after the 2010s. Their debut album "The Chimes" (2009) was Hong Kong's first high-fidelity gospel album and included the track "Heart Trembling," a requiem for the 2008 Sichuan earthquake that the brothers composed on the day of the disaster. The album topped jazz and classical music sales charts for seven consecutive weeks. The duo has received numerous prestigious Chinese music awards, including Best Jazz Artist of the Year in 2012, Best Group in 2014, and three CASH Golden Sail Music Awards in 2014. Their 2014 album "Extreme" ranked first among the top ten albums of the month at the Chinese Gold Songs Awards, and its title track "The Era Subversive" went viral online and was dubbed "The Song of the Era" by the media. Professor Li Ou-fan praised the duo as "the way out for Hong Kong music." Their high-quality production earned praise from many prominent musicians, producers, and critics, including Ou Dingyu, Yip Kwun-kuen, Teddy Robin, Lo Kwan-tin, Yao Li, Janice Vidal, Tats Lau, and others. The brothers also host jazz music radio programs on various stations.
