Wang Xiaohai

Biography

Wang Xiaohai is a Chinese singer, songwriter, and composer, born on June 23, 1980, in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, into an intellectual family. He first appeared on stage in the third grade of elementary school, performing at the Shenyang People's Theatre. After graduating from university, he worked as an accountant before transitioning to a singing career. He won the gold medal in the National Eastern Young Singers Competition. In March 2006, he participated as a representative of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions team in the 12th National Young Singers Television Grand Prix. In April 2007, he took part in the "Harmonious China" song and dance concert. In 2008, he gained fame when his music duo Jiuyue Qiji (September Miracle) won the annual championship on CCTV's Star Boulevard program. In 2009, the duo performed "Red Classics" at the Vienna Golden Hall and subsequently toured Europe, the United States, and Hong Kong. In September 2014, the duo held the concert "September Miracle Blooms, Witness the Miracle" at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center. Between 2011 and 2018, the duo participated five times in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and seven times in the CCTV Lantern Festival Gala. He composed the song "Believe in Your Dream" (Xiangxin Mengxiang), which became widely popular among young people and office workers.
