Wang Qi is a Han Chinese singer born on October 13, 1986, in Nanyao, Liaoning Province. He graduated from art school at the age of 18 and began a wandering singer lifestyle. At 23, he moved to Xinjiang and lived there for 10 years before returning to Liaoning. He is one of China's prominent singers, with notable songs including "Koktokay's Shepherd", "Lover's Enchantment", "Standing Waiting for You for Three Thousand Years", and "Thousands of Love and Gratitude". In 2021, he was invited to perform "Koktokay's Shepherd" at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In 2022, he was again invited to perform the same song at the Jiangsu TV Spring Festival Gala.
