单小源

简介

Shan Xiaoyuan is a Chinese singer, songwriter and composer, born on January 26, 1990 in Jiangsu Province, China. He began his career focusing on self-composed songs, and in 2011 signed with Zhushu Culture. He rose to fame in 2012 with the song "Dialogue" (对话), produced using VOCALOID technology, which gained him widespread attention online. Some listeners noted that his vocal style and production approach resemble those of Chinese singer Xu Song. In March 2012, he released "Dialogue" online using the Hatsune Miku voice source via VOCALOID2, with lyrics identical to his earlier single "Different Opinion" (不同认为). The song sparked significant controversy after his agency claimed it would be performed at a Miku concert at Shanghai Stadium, prompting strong backlash from Miku fans. Miku fans responded by organizing online protest campaigns known as the "39 Holy War" between March and May 2012, including flooding fan forums and demonstrating on Shan's and his manager's social media accounts across multiple platforms. His manager Pan Guan resigned from his position in May 2012 as a result of these events.
