Wu Junchén, formerly known as Wu Jun, is a Chinese actor from mainland China. He was born in Beijing in 1975. He graduated in 1999 from the Department of Acting at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. He gained recognition in 2003 when he was nominated for the China Huabiao Award for Best New Actor for his role in the film "Springtime in a Small Town." In March of that year, he traveled to Taiwan to promote the film as the male lead alongside the female lead Hú Jìngfàn. He also sang the film's title song, released as part of a soundtrack album in 2003, and performed the title song for the TV series "The Comprador's Family."
