Wang Xuebing was born on September 6, 1971, in Urumqi, Xinjiang. He graduated from the Acting Department of the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. He became widely known through the television series "将爱情进行到底". He married three times: first to Feng Yuqi in 2001, with whom he divorced amicably in 2004; then to actress Sun Ning in 2009, divorcing in 2012; and finally to Zhang Xuan in 2013, with whom he has a son. In 2014, he co-founded a company with his classmate Chen Jianbian to produce the film "一个勺子", in which he played a rural wealthy man and earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 51st Golden Horse Awards. In 2015, he was arrested on suspicion of drug use, leading to his scenes being deleted from several films and TV productions. However, in March 2016, Beijing police stated in writing that there was no evidence of criminal conduct and he received no criminal or administrative punishment, though media reports led to public misunderstanding of him as a "drug-related individual". He has also performed in several stage plays including "樱桃园", "第十二夜", "保尔·柯察金", "酗酒者莫非", and "我们从何处来，我们是谁，我们向何处去2.0".
