Bi Yanjun

Biography

Bi Yanjun is a Chinese actor and director born in Anshan, Liaoning Province. He began his artistic career in 1972 when he joined the Anshan Drama Troupe after finishing secondary school. He continued his artistic education and enrolled in the acting department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1983. After graduating in 1985, he returned to the Anshan Drama Troupe, and in 1993 he transferred to the drama troupe of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions as an actor. He is currently classified as a national first-class actor. He has participated in numerous notable film and television productions over the decades, including films such as "Mei Lanfang", "The Founding of a Republic", and "Confucius", and TV series like "The Grand Mansion Gate", "Venturing into the East", and "Awakening Age". He also served as an assistant director in several television productions. He was briefly married to the famous actress Chen Xiaoxu.
