Yao Qianyu is a Chinese actress born on December 3, 1979 in Yueyang, Hunan Province. She graduated from the Class of 1996 at the Shanghai Theatre Academy with a bachelor's degree. She became well known for starring in television dramas including "Smile and Keep Living", "Love and Espionage Between Life and Death", "I Am a Small Grass", and "Nanny and Security Guard". In 2010, she received the award for "Most Beloved Film and TV Star by the People" and was also named the Most Popular Actress in the Jiangsu region that same year. She is recognized as one of the prominent actresses in Chinese television drama.
