Biography

He Saifei was born on April 11, 1963 in Daishan, Zhejiang. She is a Chinese actress specializing in Yue opera, film and television. She comes from a family of three daughters, being the second child between her older sister Saiyan and younger sister Sailey. Her father was a government official in the city but voluntarily requested to be transferred to an island in Zhoushan County, Zhejiang, and the entire family was converted to rural household registration. Her parents divorced in 1967 during the Cultural Revolution when she was five years old. After the divorce, she lived with her father while her two sisters lived with their mother and took their mother's surname "Xia". He Saifei is a national first-class actress who has appeared in numerous television series, mostly playing roles of empress dowagers and queen mothers in period dramas, and concubines in Republic of China era dramas.
