He Jiayi

Biography

He Jiayi was born on January 14, 1978, in Nanchong, Sichuan Province, China. Her parents were artists in a Sichuan opera troupe but were sent to work in a factory during the Cultural Revolution. She grew up in the factory, which had a library that fostered her love of reading from an early age. She later enrolled in the Central Academy of Drama, majoring in acting. After graduation, she joined Huayi Brothers. She married a man from Shenyang who works in finance in Beijing. She gave birth to her son in 2008 while studying in the United States; her son holds American citizenship and is named "Stone".
