简介

Janet Chow was born in Hong Kong to parents from Ningbo and Shandong, and immigrated to Canada at age seven. She was educated at Markville Secondary School and the University of Toronto, where she studied economics. In 2006, she competed in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant, winning first runner-up and the Miss Photogenic award, then joined TVB as a contracted artiste. She represented Hong Kong at the Miss World pageant in Poland in place of the winner. In 2007, she participated in Hunan TV's variety show "Strictly Come Dancing" Season 1. She married actor Hung Tin Ming in March 2012 and had two sons in 2013 and 2015. After marriage, she gradually withdrew from the entertainment industry and was on unpaid leave from 2013 to 2018. In 2014, she opened a children's clothing store in Hong Kong before selling it six months later. She later ventured into cosmetics e-commerce in mainland China with fellow artistes. In October 2018, her contract with TVB ended and she devoted herself fully to business.
