Gwennie Tam is a Hong Kong actress born on December 30, 1974, of half-British mixed heritage. She began her career as a model before transitioning to acting. She received her primary education at Maryknoll Convent School and graduated from Kowloon Tong School in 1992. She entered the entertainment industry by participating in the "Andy Lau Dream Lover Contest" organized by the TVB program "Enjoy Yourself Tonight." She later joined Asia Television, being one of the few ATV artists who never worked with TVB. After retiring from acting, she turned to jewelry design, a field she had been passionate about since childhood. She designed her first necklace at age 21 and received much praise, prompting her to study various jewelry courses including jewelry appraisal, design, management, and business.
