简介

Hillary Liauw, also known as Xi Lin (廖熙琳) and by her Japanese name Hirari, is a Hong Kong film actress and television program host. Born on August 29, 1992, to Indonesian-Japanese parents, she grew up in Hong Kong. She graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Film with a Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production. She began her artistic work during high school years, initially participating under the name "廖殷曼" in film and television productions, before becoming known as "熙琳" (Xi Lin) starting in 2019. She has participated in filming numerous print and television commercials and served as a spokesperson for various brands, while developing her career in film, television drama, and television program hosting. In March 2020, during the COVID-19 outbreak in Hong Kong, she traveled to Osaka, Kyoto, and Wakayama in Japan to film a travel program for Hong Kong Television Entertainment, then returned to Hong Kong. About a week after her return, she attended an actor audition at a film company, which sparked widespread controversy after another actress accused her not to comply with the mandatory 14-day home quarantine. Xi Lin later clarified in a newspaper interview that she had voluntarily taken a COVID-19 test at a private hospital with a negative result, and that she had self-isolated at home and measured her temperature daily. She currently resides in Tokyo to pursue her career and regularly shares the latest news and tourist attractions in Japan on Instagram in three languages: Chinese, English, and Japanese.
