林碧琪
简介
Becky Lam Bik-kei, originally named Yuen Bik-kei, is a Hong Kong actress born in 1966 in British Hong Kong. She grew up in Kowloon Walled City and attended Shun Shung Secondary School but dropped out after Form 1. In 1982, at just 16, she was discovered and cast as the lead in the classic film "City Girl" (靚妹仔), directed by Lai Daowei and produced by Mak Dong-hung, alongside Wan Bixia and Mai De. The film earned her the Best Actress award at the 2nd Hong Kong Film Awards in 1983, making her the youngest winner and nominee of the award (at 17) with the fewest works (just one). However, she did not attend the ceremony and Wan Bixia accepted on her behalf. Shortly after filming, news of her pregnancy outside marriage emerged and she retired from acting. In 1987, she married Fred Carpio, brother of singer Dolores Tsang, and they have two daughters. "City Girl" was her only film. In 1989, new director Herman Yau made "The Story of the City Girl" (靚妹正傳) based on her real experience of being forced to film nude scenes, with Yang Ling playing her and her husband Fred as the lead. On April 22, 2011, she appeared with her husband at a Tsang family event, her first media appearance in nearly 30 years.
