余綺霞

简介

Dorothy Yu Yee-ha, known by the nickname "霞女", was a Hong Kong actress and television host. Born on 13 October 1957, she was crowned third runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1977 before entering the entertainment industry. She worked with TVB, participating in television dramas, films, and hosting programs, and was a mainstay of the popular show "Enjoy Yourself Tonight". In 1988, she was involved in a serious car accident in Australia while filming an overseas segment of the show, which left her in a coma for a month and caused nerve damage that impaired her speech. In 1990, she traveled to the United States to continue her studies, and upon returning to Hong Kong, she was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. She battled the illness for several years before passing away on 15 October 1993 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 36. She remains the only Miss Hong Kong top-three finalist to die before reaching the age of 40.
