Cecilia Yiu Ching Ching

Biography

Cecilia Yiu Ching Ching, now known as姚舜薰, is a former Hong Kong TVB actress and the former girlfriend of Aaron Kwok, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong pop music. She was born in Shanghai and moved to Hong Kong at around nine or ten years old, attending St. John's Co-ed English College. She began shooting TV commercials in junior high school and won third place in the 36th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival Drama Solo Mandarin category in 1984, receiving commentary from judge Chung King-fai. In 1986, she participated in TVB's Miss TV contest but did not place in the top three, after which she signed as a TVB artist. She signed a two-and-a-half-year artist contract with TVB while continuing night school, as she did not want to give up her studies. After breaking up with Aaron Kwok, she starred in several Category III films in the mid-1990s, causing a sensation across Hong Kong. Yiu has two daughters and currently resides in Shanghai.
