简介

Harriet Yeung Sze Man, nicknamed "Shia Tou", is a Hong Kong actress. She was born on December 29, 1975 and grew up in the Quarry Bay area of Hong Kong Island. Her father ran a hardware store, and she has a younger brother two years her junior. She studied at North Point Methodist School and graduated in 1988, then moved to Chang Chuk Shan English Secondary School where she was a member of the school basketball team and graduated in 1993. Since junior high school, she organized school events and small musicals and participated in acting roles, winning a competition against crime-themed drama. After her Hong Kong Secondary Education Examination results, she realized she was not suited for academic study and decided to apply to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts at the encouragement of her classmates. She scored 14 in the 1993 examinations but was weak in Chinese History. She enrolled in the directing department because she lacked confidence in her appearance and leaned toward a stylish image, completing an honors arts degree in five years. However, she felt she was not suited to be a director and chose to study acting under Mao Jun Hui, earning an advanced diploma in performing arts in one year. After graduation, she worked with various theater companies in Hong Kong and gave school performances, preferring to work as a freelancer to avoid contracts with theaters or television. In 2003, she joined Ho Yu Secondary and Primary School to teach drama until 2006, resigning due to vocal cord damage from combining teaching and acting. She began building her comedic image in 2002 in the play "Fei Chai" by W Creative Works, winning Best Actress in Comedy/Farce at the Hong Kong Drama Awards in 2007 and being nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the same year. In 2007, she joined PIP Theatre as a full-time actress and teacher at PIP Arts School at the invitation of Jan Jun Man, appearing in films such as "King of Actors", "Very Much Love", and "My Favorite". In 2012, she officially joined Asia Television to host "Entertainment CIA", leaving in March 2013. In July 2013, she joined Television Broadcasts Limited as a contracted artiste at the invitation of producer Man Wai Hong after he saw her performance in "Trendy Office".
