简介

Sharon Yang Pan Pan was born in Taiwan in 1958 to a prominent family: her paternal grandfather Wei Dao Ming was a politician in the Republic of China, her maternal grandmother Zheng Yuxiu was China's great female lawyer, and her great-uncle was the famous painter Zhang Daqian. She began learning martial arts at age eight after giving up a chance to study painting in Brazil with Zhang Daqian. She studied Northern-style martial arts with teacher Fen Ju Hua for three years and appeared as a child actress in a play with her mother in 1966. At age twelve, she joined Shaw Brothers studio, making her debut as a stunt double in «Fourteen Heroines» and earning the nickname «Female Jackie Chan» early in her career. She left Shaw Brothers in 1976, refusing roles that required revealing clothing, then transitioned to teaching Chinese classical dance. She joined TVB in 1978 and performed dangerous acrobatics at the station's annual galas, but suffered a neck injury in 1983 that caused deafness in her right ear. She left TVB in 1986 to work in Taiwan, returning in 1989 under a per-series contract. Since 2000, she has dedicated herself to training action stunt performers through her HITHUT training studio. She appeared in ViuTV reality show «Mature Women in the Wild» and co-starred with Law Kar Ying in the 2018 Malaysian New Year film «Spring Returns to Earth».
