简介
Louise Wong Tan-ni was born in Weihai, Shandong Province, mainland China, and moved to British Hong Kong at a young age, growing up in Yuai Chuen in the New Territories. She studied at Dong Wai San Yuan Fung Wong Fong Ting Secondary School in Sha Tin. In 2007, at the age of 17, she competed in the Elite Model Look competition, winning the Hong Kong regional title and the Asia-Pacific overall title, officially launching her fashion modelling career. In 2016, she was invited to audition for the biographical film about Anita Mui. Having no prior acting experience, she underwent six months of training under actor Liu Chi-chi to mimic Anita Mui’s mannerisms. The film was shot in 2018 but only released in late 2021. For this role, she won the Best New Performer award at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards in 2022. In 2022, she also took a leading role in the film "A Guilty Conscience". On a personal note, she gave birth to her daughter at age 24 and raised her alone after separating from the child's father, later marrying Australian-based Hong Kong singer Law Hao-yong in 2020. In 2023, she sparked controversy when she mispronounced the name of a Best Screenplay winner during the Hong Kong Film Awards ceremony and publicly apologized for the incident.
