Sofie Rahman is a Hong Kong model born in Hong Kong on 12 April 1975. She is of one-quarter Malaysian descent. She grew up in Oi Man Estate and attended a Catholic primary school and then SKH Holy Trinity Secondary School. She participated in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1995, winning the first runner-up and Miss Photogenic awards. After her victory, she enrolled in a Higher Diploma in Public Administration at City University of Hong Kong. She met famous model Jenny Yong at Wai Yin Association, who introduced her to a modelling agency, launching her modelling career. With her tall figure and elegant demeanour, she became one of Hong Kong's most renowned models. She has appeared in numerous print and television advertisements and made a cameo appearance in a film. She won the Best TV Commercial Actress award in 1999. She married a Malaysian man named Yan Wai Shing in 2005 and has three daughters, born in 2006, 2008, and 2015.
