Peng Dan is a former Hong Kong actress born on November 10, 1972, in Changsha, Hunan Province. Her maternal grandfather served as deputy mayor of Zunyi City. At age 14, she went to the United States to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. After winning three beauty pageant titles — Miss Chinese America, Miss China, and Miss Asia — she moved to Hong Kong to pursue her career. She competed in the Miss Asia pageant and began her entertainment career in Hong Kong, starring in several Category III erotic films. She was nicknamed "Goddess of Breasts" due to her prominent figure and large bust size, and was known for her skills in performing the full split (一字馬) and ballet. She frequently appeared on entertainment programs such as the "Award Show" series, where her bridge poses and split performances made her well-known to Hong Kong audiences. In recent years, she has focused her career in mainland China, specializing in patriotic mainstream films. In 2013, she became a member of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, serving until 2017. She was also elected as a standing member of the All-China Youth Federation through nomination by central party organs. In 2015, she proposed anti-corruption measures in the arts during the Gansu sessions, which received support from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection's official website. In 2016, she proposed a solar farming project to increase income for poor farmers. Since 2022, she has served as director of the International Institute of Economic Strategy under the health products company Tiens Group.
