Annie Ngai See Pui, originally Ni Wenjuan and also known as Annie Ni, is an actress, singer, host, editor, writer and educator from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Born in Hong Kong in 1966 as the eldest daughter of her family, she graduated from Maryknoll Convent School. Discovered at age 13 by an advertising agency, she began shooting commercials and was later discovered by Sister magazine editor Shi Yingying as a fashion model. She joined RTV's "Eyes of a Star" training course in 1980 and was signed as an actress. She starred in three youth dramas with singer Leslie Cheung, whom the media called her first love. After her contract ended, she moved to Taiwan and released a Mandarin album "Winter in Moscow" in 1991. She returned to Hong Kong in 1999, met and dated comic artist Wong Chun-loang, and had a son in 2000. She moved to Singapore in 2004 after their separation to care for her autistic son alone. She returned to Hong Kong in 2017, began writing an education column in 2018, and joined Metro Radio as a talk show host in 2020.
