Biography

Mandy Lieu is a Malaysian actress and model of mixed American and Chinese descent, born in Ipoh, Malaysia in 1985. She was raised in a single-mother household after her American father disappeared before her birth, and moved to Kuala Lumpur with her family at age eight. She began working as a part-time model during her studies, then dropped out of school at seventeen and moved to Tokyo in 2003 to pursue her career. She relocated to Hong Kong in 2006, appearing in TV and print commercials. She starred in the TV series "Dressage to Win" in 2008 and appeared in several films including "Tai Chi 0" and "Breaking Wind." She also worked as a host for various TV programs and award shows. She was widely known for her relationship with Macau casino tycoon Alvin Chau (Sawa Hwa), with whom she has three daughters and a son. She received a substantial settlement upon their separation in 2019, and currently resides in the United Kingdom with her children.
