Li Sum Ling
Biography
Li Sum Ling, formerly known as Li Shuling, is a singer and artist from Hong Kong. She loved dancing and performing from her kindergarten and elementary school years, but stopped dancing in middle school due to financial hardship and academic reasons. She achieved an excellent grade in Visual Arts in her school exams, advanced to preparatory studies, and was admitted to Hong Kong Baptist University. She rediscovered her passion for dance at university through joining a dance club and learning from her mentor, Teacher Chen. She grew up in a broken family where police officers visited weekly, and she used to sleep in a closet as a child, decorating it with star stickers to imagine it as an infinite night sky. She worked as a professional dancer and choreographer for many years, performing in concerts for major artists such as Aaron Kwok, Stefanie Sun, Sandy Lam, and AGA. She also participated in KFC commercial shoots and choreographed for KFC advertisements. She participated in the ViuTV talent show "King Maker IV" in 2021 and finished in fourth place. In January 2022, she officially debuted as a member of the girl group COLLAR with the song "Call My Name!". In 2023, she composed the theme song "Er Li Ni Ding Mao" for the TV program "Japanese GAO Vacation". In 2024, she released her first solo single "SPYLING", becoming the third COLLAR member to release a solo track. Her mother did not know her daughter had become an artist until she saw her in the drama "The Ghetto-Fabulous Lady" on television.
