简介
Theresa Lee is a prominent Hong Kong actress, born on February 25, 1970. She moved with her family to Edmonton, Canada, during childhood. In 1994, she participated in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant, winning third place and the Most Photogenic award, then signed with TVB. She joined the sitcom "Ka Hei Wah Lee" and appeared in the anniversary drama "Good Morning Sir" alongside Leon Lai. Later, she remained active in television productions across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China. She was nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in two consecutive years for two different films each time: 1997 for "The Final Option" and "He's a Woman, She's a Man 2," and 1998 for "Intimates" and "The Longest Summer," earning praise as a rising acting talent though she did not win. After marrying in 2004, her on-screen appearances significantly decreased. In 2007, she guest-starred in the seventh season of the American TV series "Smallville," later revealing on a radio program that she and her husband were Superman fans and felt honored to participate. She returned in 2008 to film the TVB series "You're Hired" and "My Better Half" in 2009. She disclosed in a 2009 interview that she suffered from depression in 2002 due to family genetics and work pressure, and took nine months of treatment to recover. She left TVB in December 2012 upon contract expiry. She later worked as a psychiatric nurse at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, Canada. Outside acting, she enjoys sports and has competed in triathlons. She married a Canadian husband in 2004, had a son, and settled in Kamloops after childbirth.
