Kitty Lai is a Hong Kong artist, actress, program host, and model, born on November 1, 1994. She grew up in a Kowloon housing estate with a sister, studied at the Chinese Christian Church Concord College, and earned an Honours Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. In 2017, she participated in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant but did not advance, then joined TVB's 29th Artiste Training Class and became a contracted artist in April 2018. She joined the information program "Scoop" as an outdoor reporter in 2018. She gained attention in January 2019 when she suddenly cried during an interview with actor Dicky Cheung at the "Big Celebration" wrap party. In April of the same year, she cried again while covering the "2019 Asia Most Influential Awards Ceremony," drawing public criticism. In early 2020, she faced criticism for a remark made during an interview with actress Cecilia Yip on the set of "Hong Kong Love Story." In March 2022, she signed a management contract with TVB. In January 2021, she was criticized for her behavior during a live interview with veteran actor Bak Sau at the "TVB Anniversary Gala 2020," where she abruptly left after the interview, which was seen as disrespectful, though she later clarified she had already concluded the interview.
