Biography

Cherie Kong Chi Nei (江芷妮), originally named Kong Ka Yi (江家儀), is a Chinese actress and television host from Hong Kong. Born on July 14, 1977, she has one sister. She attended St. Mark's Secondary School from 1989 to 1994, then transferred to Rosaryhill School where she studied marketing and graduated first in her class. She later completed a bachelor's degree in communication at Ohio University in the United States and also studied in Japan. In 2000, she accompanied a friend to the Miss Hong Kong Pageant interview and received a notification from TVB about being shortlisted, but clarified she was not participating. In 2001, she joined TVB as a host, with her first job being the music program "非常音樂空間". She appeared in films such as "好心相愛" and "六樓后座". In 2007, she left the entertainment industry after her TVB contract ended and entered the business world, founding the beauty salon SkinPro in 2009 using her prize money from game shows. She earned an MBA from the University of Hong Kong in 2011 and served as Vice President of the Hong Kong Hair and Beauty Merchants Association. In 2023, she was appointed as a member of the Beauty and Hairdressing Industry Training Board of the Vocational Training Council. She married an architect in 2012 and had her first son in 2019 and daughter in 2021.
