Born on November 2, 1973 in Hong Kong, Goldie Ho Tze Shan (formerly known as Ho Wan Yee) is the youngest daughter in a family with three brothers and two sisters. She grew up in Ho Man Tin Estate in Kowloon. After secondary school, she studied computer design at college. While job-hunting, she was scouted by a talent scout and went to Mexico to shoot a TV commercial for a clothing brand, and also auditioned for the film "The Final Option". In 1997, she officially signed as a model with Starz Talent Agency, working alongside Chow Lai Chi and Maggie Q. She continued shooting commercials in Hong Kong and China and walking runways for famous brands. In 2000, she served as body double and voice actress for the character "Mrs. Chow Mo Wan" in "In the Mood for Love", and also worked as lighting double for actress Maggie Cheung. In 2003, against her family's wishes, she joined TVB's 17th Artiste Training Class and transitioned from modeling to acting. She participated in numerous notable television series and became a frequent collaborator of producer Wong Sum Wai. In 2010, she began volunteering with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In March 2021, she opened a crystal shop, and in February 2022 she announced her name change to Ho Tze Shan (Goldie).
