Joyce Mina Godenzi

Biography

Joyce Mina Godenzi is a Hong Kong actress born on 28 May 1965. Her father was an Italian-Australian who worked as a government official in British Hong Kong before going into trade, while her mother was Hong Kong Chinese. She attended Ho Tung Secondary School. She entered the Miss Hong Kong Pageant in 1984 and won the title. She joined the film industry in 1986 and appeared in several films. She married famous actor Sammo Hung in 1995 after developing a relationship during their film work. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 7th Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in "Eastern Condors" where she played a Cambodian guerrilla leader, establishing herself as a female action star. She is one of the very few Miss Hong Kong winners to specialize in action films.
