Jaclyn Chu Wai Shan

Biography

Jaclyn Chu Wai Shan is a Chinese host from Hong Kong, born on 7 March 1966. She was educated at Tai Po schools and Wang Siu Chi College. In 1985, she participated in the Miss Asia Pageant organized by ATV and won the "Miss Peace" title by media vote. She then signed with ATV and appeared in numerous TV dramas. In 1989, she moved to TVB and specialized in hosting "Enjoy Yourself Tonight." She dreamed of becoming a news anchor and journalist since high school and excelled in English writing. Despite being accepted at Syracuse University in the US, she chose to join ATV instead. She returned to ATV in 1999 and became a news anchor alongside Ho Shau Sun. She later focused on information programs, notably "Jaclyn's Fashion Workshop," a pioneer in its genre. She left ATV in 2009 protesting new artist contract policies but returned in 2011 to host various programs including "Asian Starlight Boulevard 4." She married legal counsel Yee Shun Wing in 1995 and divorced after 10 months, then married businessman Jia Junpeng in 2008 in Guam.
