Winnie Chin Wai-yee

Biography

Winnie Chin Wai-yee is a Hong Kong actress born on August 20, 1963. She graduated from Columbia College in Canada and is skilled in ballet and piano. Before entering showbiz, she appeared in an advertisement for a Hong Kong fast-food chain. In 1981, she was named first runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant (originally third runner-up, but promoted after the winner was dethroned for age falsification). She then entered the entertainment industry and signed with TVB. In 1983, rumors circulated about an affair with actor Fu Sheng, husband of Jenny Tseng, while filming a movie. In 1984, she signed with ATV to appear in a TV drama. She officially left the entertainment industry in 1990 and migrated to Canada, returning to Hong Kong in 1993. In 1995, she married Ma Ching-yang of the prominent Ma Sheng Bank family and had two sons and a daughter, thereafter often attending social events as a socialite. She announced her divorce from Ma Ching-yang in 2022.
