Vindy Chan Wai Yee

Biography

Vindy Chan Wai Yee was born on 25 August 1967 in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong. She grew up in Kwai Ching District and studied at Lui King Catholic School and Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School, where she was a student leader and member of the dance club. After graduation, she participated in the 1989 Miss Hong Kong Pageant without winning any awards, then pursued an acting career in films. During the filming of "The Yuppie Fantasia," she met director Gordon Chan Ka Seung, later married him, and had two children before divorcing. After the divorce, she returned to acting, worked in a second-hand clothing store, and then transitioned into becoming a financial commentator and host of financial programs. She obtained a securities broker's license and hosted financial programs on Commercial Radio and TVB. Since 2016, she has taught jelly flower cake making and engaged in charity teaching. She had also worked in the securities industry right after graduating from secondary school.
