文蘭 (演員)
简介
Man Lan (born 1938), original name Liang Bao Ying, is a Hong Kong actress and the second daughter of famous Cantonese opera clown actor Liang Xing Bo. She was born into an artistic family where her father was a Cantonese opera star and her mother Gu Wen Juan was a film producer, while her sisters Liang Bao Zhen and Liang Bao Zhu were also active in entertainment. She was influenced from childhood by the artistic atmosphere at home and often accompanied her father to cinemas and film sets. Her career began in 1956 when a director discovered her while she accompanied her father on set, making her debut in the film "The Beautiful Woman" alongside her father. She later appeared in numerous Cantonese and Mandarin films including "The Sweet Girl" and "I Love Violet", known for her fresh image in romance and family-themed works. Despite her father's support and promotion, her career was not as prominent as her contemporaries. She gradually withdrew from acting in the late 1960s, later emigrated abroad, and worked in food-related and design businesses. In later years she is known through her identity as Liang Xing Bo's daughter and occasionally reflects on her acting experience in interviews.
